Why do people dislike the name Melinda?

Its my favourite name. How can you not like it? I dont see the reason. Its not too common, its clearly pronounced, easily spelled, the tongue rolls nicely, it has cute nicknames such as Mel, Linda, Mindy.. Here on yahoo answers very few people like it, why? Is it too old fashioned maybe?
