Can anyone help me two questions in Business Law?

Well my answer to question one is as follows if Sam and Erica are actually really good friends then the both of them should agree to cancel the contract. My answer to the second question is as follows Elsie could go to court and fight over the contract but that would probably bring bad feelings between family members, in other words she would end up losing due to there is no written contract, but in the legal world if there was another person who can verify what was said she has a good chance of getting her money.
