My wife is pregnant with another man's (who was a close friend growing up) baby?

First of all do not listen to TJTB. I don't agree with your wife taking off for a week but I understand her state of mind when doing so. When this child is born and you hold him/her for the first time and know that they will look up to you (not this other person) the rest of their lives your heart will swell and the love will be there. There will be times of struggle but the love will always be there. Just keep in mind this child didn't make the decisions that have put you and your wife in this position so he/she should not be punished. I think your doing the right thing and your mother is an intelligent woman and I'm sure she's ready for a grand baby! When your wife and yourself have more children you will see no difference in them or this child, because they all will be daddy's little girls/boys. I commend you for being better than a man who owns up to being the maker, because your owning up and saying I'm responsible for someone elses acts. We need more men like you in this world!!!!!!!
